Casey (10 out of 10 ) A top 5 for best films of the 90's.
jesse (10 out of 10 ) Mann is one of the best, if not the best filmmaker there is. When you watch this movie it is so well done it's scary. It's rare I watch a film and fall away from reality and this film did that like all movies are supposed to do. De Niro and Pacino, what can you say. They are brilliant! It's like having Rembrant and Van Gogh in the house and they are painting man! Crime drama is a lost art recaptured here, and the eye of Mann see's things in a beautiful way. I APPLAUD all involved in the making of this movie and it is surely one of the top 5 of the 90's.
kaskin (10 out of 10 ) Best movie period - two huge stars, a bevy of others and a great storyline. An epic man film, absolutely fantastic.
adam (10 out of 10 ) heat is absolutley one of the best movies you have deniro and pacino 2 of the greatest film stars in 1 movie with a well back up chaaracters such as val kilmer, wes studi and tom sizemore heat is in my top 10 favorite movies
omair (10 out of 10 ) One of the bestest sequels ever to hit the the world.
MAK MIKE P (10 out of 10 ) Great flick! Love rhis move even brought a tearto my eye the first time I saw it, just kiddin' but it almost did. ALthough this script here is an old version one of the most important details is different int his script. I ahve met Mann's brother and Sister in-law they are nice casting directors in Toronto. GREAT FILM.
Sablicious (10 out of 10 ) One of the greatest films with the best ensemble casts of all time. Bafflingly under-appreciated however. Even for those of a less 'Epicurean', it has one of the best cops 'n robbers shootouts you'll see! I simple can't believe this movie didn't attract more Oscar attention. I guess it speaks volumes for the lowbrow tastes of the average moviegoer/critic of the last 15 years.
Johnny (10 out of 10 ) There will never be another movie like Heat, nor as good in it's genre (technical cop/crime procedural). It was Mann's masterpiece, followed closely by The Insider. And the thinking adult's film in general is disappearing. The decent State of Play barely made money and should have done well. It was pretty darn good. Glad they revised the Heat script, however. I like it just as delivered in the movie.
Scott Mc (10 out of 10 ) Great movie. Here's where it gets weird. I was actually on IMSDB. Then, multitasking between halftimes, discovered 'Heat' was on. Cool. Acting quickly, I was soon able to READ THE SCRIPT while WATCHING THE MOVIE line for line. (beat) At the exact same time.. Way cool. Only one problem. The dialog in the script was 50% DIFFERENT than from the final release. So what's up?
Tony2Times (10 out of 10 ) One of the best movies I've seen in my life, and what about the shoot out scene. Mann your the man!! De Niro and Al Pacino at the coffee shop...breath taking.
Devin (10 out of 10 ) Michael Mann is just one of the best filmmakers out there. I've never heard of a film director put such an emphasis on character and story the way Michael Mann does. Nobody is true good or evil in Mann's films. They're just people.
Hayduke (10 out of 10 ) What a fantastic film. 20 years later it still holds up. So many great actors and performances, and the Pacino/DeNiro diner scene was flawless. Michael Mann has put out some great movies since then, but I still think this was him at his best.
